Summary
"A Carbon Footprint measures the total greenhouse gas emissions caused directly and indirectly by a person, organization, event or product. The majority of greenhouse gas emissions from transportation are CO2 emissions resulting from the combustion of petroleum-based products, like gasoline, in internal combustion engines."

SP5: Using mathematics and computational thinking
This week in science, we started and finished our Charity Fair Carbon Footprint Map. We used an online app to create an interactive (?) map. We used this map which measured distances to calculate the total distance our product took, the ingredients took, and how much CO2 was generated in the process.

XXC: Cause and Effect
After learning about how we use fossil fuels to transport items, I realized the cause and effect relationship that has a relation to this Carbon Footprint map. Because we need to transport ingredients and items from around the world for our product, we release CO2 & greenhouse gases into the air. This continues a chain of cause and effect revolving around global warming and how we should use less fossil fuels/release less greenhouse gases.
